prevention, data analysis and leadership, Penlight approaches your needs uniquely to
deliver sensible solutions that will protect or improve the bottom line.

has a sense that something isn't right or they simply want to have peace of mind that
their controls are sound, Penlight answers those concerns.
The Founder
Catherine Penizotto developed her strong work ethic at a very young age working for her entrepreneur parents who both operated their individual businesses for over 50 years. On her own, she worked her way up to management in retail operations and then transitioned to loss prevention leadership when her knack for finding the drains on a business were recognized by company executives.
In 2010 Catherine began her management consulting business, OPTIC Loss Prevention and successfully helped her clients identify and resolve losses to their business while also developing processes to streamline their operations. In 2012, OPTIC Loss Prevention was engaged by Agilence Inc., a data analytics software startup. That engagement turned into employment when Agilence Inc. then hired Catherine as their VP of Customer Success to help them build the business with the goal of selling it in the future. In her role, she was responsible for the entire post-sale customer journey. Her teams were recognized for excellence by the Stevie Awards year after year and the customer retention averaged 98% under her leadership. Agilence Inc. met their goal of a sale in late 2021 which freed Catherine to pursue her passion of helping small business owners protect their hard-earned profits once again.
